People who “have it all” didn’t get there by accident. Financial planning is a thought process based on your values, which incorporates spending, saving, using credit, and investing. Creating a financial plan can help you identify the end result you want, figure out how to get there, and stay on track to achieve it. Psychologically, it can help reduce stress. This seminar discusses goal setting and provides a framework for working through the 5-step financial planning process.

ACC Newsroom Announcement

Round Rock construction site closed to visitors

Friday, August 7th, 2009

Everyone at ACC is eager to see the new Round Rock Campus, which is currently under construction. It will be the largest and most sophisticated facility that ACC has built to date.

However, the site remains under the control and responsibility of SpawGlass, the Construction Manager until ACC takes Beneficial Occupancy next summer.  Other than people with direct responsibility for the construction of the campus, no one from ACC may visit the site until that time.  In general, certain individuals in Facilities & Construction, Buildings & Grounds, and Environmental Health, Safety, Insurance and Risk Management would be the only people with that responsibility.

Anyone wishing to visit the site must first obtain permission from ACC project managers Paul Mason (529.4067) or Susan Brock (529.4534). Visitors also will need to sign in at the SpawGlass jobsite office.

Approved visitors must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, such as hard hats (not bump caps), safety shoes with steel toes, and ANSI approved safety glasses. There is no smoking and no listening devices.

Anyone interested in watching our progress can visit the facilities project update page at http://www.austincc.edu/faoadmin/rrk_construction.php.

The Austin Community College District (ACC) is holding a luggage drive to benefit teenagers leaving the foster care system. The ACC Foster Care Program is accepting donations of new luggage (preferably carry-on rolling duffels) or monetary contributions toward the purchase of new luggage. The drive runs through August 1. For more information, contact the Foster Care Program staff representative at your campus:
