Update – Rio Grande Campus Parking Garage

Monday, January 5th, 2009

Status (Updated 12/18/08):

The tower crane is up and the design team has secured all permits.  The Building Permit was approved today!!!  Now SpawGlass can begin going vertical with the Parking Garage.  All of the piers have been drilled and the first floor slab is being formed.  The first concrete pour is expected to occur December 31, 2008.  The design team has completed the design for the additional floor (7th level) and SpawGlass is pricing the additional work.

The Parking Garage project continues on time and within budget.

A public information forum for this project and the Gymnasium Adaptive Re-Use project is being organized for January 14, 2009 in the Rio Grande campus Main Building from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Though the garage is finished, the original conceptual art can be found here —> http://insideacc.austincc.edu/index.php/2009/01/14/being-a-good-neighbor-during-construction/
