Rio Grande Campus Parking Update

Rio Grande Campus 9/28/08

  • What: ACC opens new parking lot to ease the parking crunch at
    Rio Grande Campus on Monday, September 29.

    • 70+ spaces for cars and motorcycles are available.
    • Open to students, faculty, and staff until spring break 2009.
  • Where to Park: Shoal Creek tennis courts located at 1301 Shoal
    Creek, adjacent to AISD’s House Park, are being turned into
    temporary ACC parking.
  • Why: ACC is addressing parking challenges resulting from
    regional bus route changes, record enrollment, and reduced
    parking because of construction of a campus parking garage.

    • Parking is limited at all campuses. ACC encourages you to
    explore alternative transportation options. Capital Metro now
    off ers expanded bus services to Rio Grande Campus.

      Ed-

      The Shoal Creek tennis courts map shows incorrect information about the location of the temporary parking. The temporary parking is actually on the tennis courts, accessed from the parking lot between them and the Rec Center. The lots which are indicated for temporary parking have been removed from service; they are in the footprint of the new garage. Please correct as soon as you get a chance.
